After having a peaceful breakfast in the hotel, you will proceed to Sigiriya. Before leaving Negombo, you can visit the famous fishing port and village located in the proximity. This place is very active in the morning, then on your way enjoy the scenic beauty of inland vegetation.

Arrive at Pinnawela and visit the famous Elephant Orphanage. It’s a home for about 60 elephants found abandoned or orphaned in the wild. They are being cared for, fed and trained by the wildlife authority. The best time to visit is during their feeding & bathing time to witness these proceedings. This would be a memorable visit for you.

Upon arrival to Sigiriya, start your ascend on Lion Rock. It’s a well-known historical site situated in the proximity of your hotel. This rock monolith is one of the most important landmarks in Sri Lanka. A visitor can see well-advanced water gardens and frescoes of elegant damsels. Lion’s Rock is one of the marvellous examples of the Sri Lankan skilled artists’ work during ancient times. After visiting this UNESCO World Heritage Site, return to your hotel to have dinner and unwind from your fatigue. Your hotel is a good place to relax.

After breakfast, you leave for Kandy and en route, visit the Dambulla Rock Temple.

Dambulla Rock Temple – Built by King Walagambahu in the 1st century B.C. is established as one of Sri Lanka’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites. It is also the most impressive of Sri Lanka’s cave temples. The complex of five caves with over 2000 sq. meters of painted walls and ceilings is the largest area of paintings found in the world. The caves contain over 150 images of the Buddha of which the largest is the colossal figure of the Buddha carved out of rock which spans 14 meters.

Before arriving in Kandy, you can visit a spice garden to learn and identify the different kinds of spices used in Sri Lanka for culinary purposes as well as medicines. Thereafter, can visit a batik factory to learn its unique method that is disappearing from the island.

Upon arrival in Kandy, you will be witnessing a cultural show. Then arrive at the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic during the morning Pooja ceremony. This is the most venerated temple by the Buddhist community and is considered the heart of the whole Buddhist world. After visiting the temple visit Kandy city and its places of interest such as upper lake drive, the University complex, the lake, the Art & Craft Center, Batik Factory, Gem Museum, Bazaar – Market Area etc. Before leaving Kandy, visit the famous Royal Botanical Garden.

Leave for Nuwaraeliya and on the way, stop at stunning Ramboda Falls to enjoy the amazing view of the surroundings. Then visit a tea factory to learn the entire process of the Sri Lankan tea industry such as plucking, drying, weathering, rolling, fermentation, classification etc.

Upon arrival at Nuwaraeliya, settle at a hotel situated in the famous hill resort in Sri Lanka at an altitude of 2000 meters.

Evening is free to promenade in the city called the ‘Little England’ before your dinner.

Today you will head to your beach hotel and on the way, you can explore more attractions. You may stop at many places to capture the beauty of the upcountry’s landscape with tea plantations and waterfalls.  “Saint Clair” & “Devon” waterfalls will be the most stunning in the region.

Before arriving at your beach hotel, you will stop at the village where the famous film named “The Bridge on the River Kwai” was filmed.

Upon arrival, settle in your room at the beach hotel situated on a southern sandy beach.

Relaxing morning, as there are no scheduled activities. However, your vehicle and chauffeur are available at any time if you resort to doing activities.
