After breakfast, visit the famous rock fortress known as “Lion Rock”, an iconic UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most important landmarks in Sri Lanka. During your visit, you can enjoy the stunning beauty of the surrounding from the top of the fortress. The elegant frescoes and well-advanced water gardens with fountains etc. are amazing attractions at the Lion Rock.

You can also experience the traditional rice & curry lunch at a village house in Sigiriya.

Arrive in Polonnaruwa, another UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city of Polonnaruwa offers a glimpse into the island’s ancient culture and heritage, blended with religious beliefs. It was the second ancient capital of the island, situated beside a manmade reservoir. This 12^th-century capital gives evidence of the creative knowledge of the Sri Lankan kings during that era. Amongst the monuments, the Gal Vihara, Vatadage, Tuparama and Alahana Pirivena are known as the most important sites you must visit.

Your second night will be at the same hotel as the previous night.

After breakfast, visit another iconic attraction in Sri Lanka, the Dambulla Rock Temple also known as the Golden Temple. It houses ancient relics, paintings, and over 150 Buddha statues spanning over five caverns that make up the cave complex.

After visiting the “Cave Temple”, leave for Kandy. En route, you have the possibility of visiting places such as Spice Gardens and Batik factories in the Matale region. Batik Industry is now a slowly disappearing industry from the present society.

Arrive in the historical last kingdom, Kandy. In the evening, witness a cultural dance show.

Relax and enjoy the environment in your Kandy hotel.

After breakfast, commence your day’s programme by visiting the Temple of the Tooth Relic of the Lord Buddha. This is the most venerated temple by the Buddhist community and is considered the heart of the Buddhist world. A great Indian king gifted the sacred Tooth Relic during the 04^th century A.D.

Visit Kandy city and immerse yourself in the vibrant culture, sense of rich history and heritage.

Next visit the Royal Botanical Garden in Peradeniya, which is another important attraction in Sri Lanka.

Trimmed lawns and well-tended greenery with lovely blooms make the space a welcoming place to relax.

Continue towards Nuwaraeliya, stopping at a tea factory at a higher elevation to learn the entire process of Ceylon Tea.

Nuwaraeliya, the picturesque countryside hamlet in the central hill area, is another world heritage region. Upon arrival, explore its scenic beauty with cascades surrounded by lush green tea plantations.

You will be at leisure in Nuwaraeliya, the city known as Little England.

• Go on a walk in Victoria Park

Overnight stay is in Nuwaraeliya.

Breakfast in the hotel. You get a wonderful experience today on the train journey through the Tea Carpets from Nanuoya to Ella. The slow descent through the tea fields and hill countryside with its winding tracks offers an unmatched experience.

Your chauffeur will drop off you at the Nanuoya railway station and will wait to receive you on arrival at THE Ella station. After the train ride, set off toward Yala.

Upon arrival, check in to the room and in the afternoon, you are at leisure.

Early morning leave with picnic breakfast for the safari tour in Yala National Park. You will be in a 4 x 4 to see its wildlife. The Yala National Park is famous for its elusive leopards and has one of the highest densities of leopards in the world. The sloth bear and Asian elephant that are also part of Sri Lanka’s Big Five can be spotted. With some good luck, you will witness all these creatures along with other occupants of the park.

After an exciting morning game drive, continue towards your beach hotel via Tangalle, Weligama, Mirissa, Unawatuna, and Galle. Visit the Old Dutch Fort, another UNESCO World Heritage Site in Sri Lanka.

Arrive at your beach hotel for an overnight stay.

Breakfast in the hotel and you can spend time leisurely on the beach (depending on the flight).

Following visits/activities can be done in the morning depending on your interest:

• Visit a sea turtle hatchery to see the entire process of their life from an egg to a hatchling
• River safari through mangroves, flora & fauna
• Visiting moonstone mines in the region
• Visit a mask museum to see a collection of traditional Sri Lankan masks.

You will have to vacate your room by noon.

In the afternoon, leave your beach hotel and head to Colombo. Do a quick sightseeing and a last-minute shopping tour in the capital (depending on the flight time), and then proceed to the airport to take the departure flight.
