Sri Lanka’s most visited national park, Yala, is situated in the southeast of Sri Lanka at 300km from Colombo.

You will be delighted to see an extraordinary variety of animals that roam freely between the grassy plains and the thick wilderness. Yala, which is the second largest national park, consists of beautiful landscapes bordered by the Indian Ocean on one side.

The park is renowned for its highest density of leopards in the world. These apex predators roaming stealthily in their natural habitat will amaze you!  Yala is also a fantastic spot to see elephants in the bushes or sauntering across the paths. You might even be lucky enough to catch the mating dance of the magnificent peacocks. During the safari, you will also have a chance to see crocodiles, sloth bears, wild boars, monkeys, buffaloes, snakes, macaques, butterflies, birds, jackals, sambar deer, spotted deer, mongooses and many more.
